Finally

 We have seen some dry fly action on home waters recently. Rings were popping on the surface of each stream I fished earlier this week. Finally, it seems dry fly fishing has arrived. The area has experienced some rain for a couple of days, and I had a thought about going fishing in the rainfall early last week. Naw, I decided to wait. A good decision because the trout were active afterward. In spite of weather turning to bright skies Thursday, it was a fun day to see signs of trout feeding on top of the water. Better yet, to drop a dry fly just upstream of a ripple, and then seeing a splash and take of my dry fly. Oh yeah!

This was the first time my favorite 376 rod has been on a trout stream this year...I think. It was a comfortable day to cast and manage the Leetle Fellers into the net with this rod. The rod's action fits me perfectly in how I like to cast and manage a tight line with a feisty trout. Hmmm, I wonder if they would put up such a fight if they knew I would be releasing them?
