Winston 7'6" 3wt - IM6

Absolutely my favorite 3wt rod of all time, and it's usually in the truck during my fishing trips throughout the Southwest. This was a custom build going back to 1997, a couple of years after Winston began manufacturing their own IM6 rod blanks...essentially the same blank as used in the later WT rod series. My friend, Ben of Flat Creek Rods refreshed the grip and upgraded the reel seat a few years ago. The rod's action with that "Winston Feel" is why this a special workhorse for me on home waters.

Of note, this rod has a flex that is a bit firmer than Winston's factory built rods in the same model, and that may be due to the ultra-light ti guides. Whatever the reason, I really like how this rod performs.
