VR Design Trutta Perfetta

 
Vlad, the owner and designer of VR Design Reels goes above and beyond customer expectations by providing extra parts, as an option, when you purchase a fly reel from him. The Trutta Perfetta models have that classic style with the dimensions that I like for my Winston fly rods. It's a click-check reel, and if you hook into a bigger than expected trout, well, you can palm the spool for extra drag.

I've been locking these reels into my fly rods for a few years, and have never had an issue with them. The machining is nothing but high quality. The extra spool in the above photo is a large arbor, while the reel has a standard arbor spooled installed. That large arbor spool will hold a WF2F fly line for fishing in the smallest of creeks this year. And, it will mostly get locked into two Winston WT rods: WT 266; and WT 270 rod models.
