Savage Son by Jack Carr
I just finished the third book, Savage Son, in the Terminal List book series by Jack Carr. The story begins with a woman in Siberia on the run, being hunted by a man with intent to kill her as though she was just another species of wild game. Yeah, this Russian agent is harboring some serious psychological secrets.
Meanwhile, the main character, James Reece is recovering from brain surgery in the Montana wilderness, slowly putting his life back together with the help of investigative journalist Katie Buranek and his longtime friend and SEAL teammate Raife Hastings. Unknown to them, the Russia mafia has set their sights on Reece and Hastings as its enemies who must be assassinated.
This is an intense thriller of a book that explores the dark side of mankind. Next to the first book, The Terminal List, it's my favorite in the series...so far. I'm currently reading the fourth now, and I'm totally addicted to this ongoing story with the former SEAL, John Reece, who is now a CIA contract employee.
