If Only - Bauer SST

The SST reels were destined for legacy status with Winston fly rods. Classic reel meet classic rod. Yup, they were perfect for each other. And yet, they were dropped from the market. If you have one, you know the big void that decision left in Bauer's reel lineup!

All of the design factors mesh together beautifully with the SST: sealed drag; dimensions; classic styling; light weight; and not least of all....performance! Not having a replacement for this discontinued reel is truly a loss for fly fishers around the world.

You know what would be over-the-top exciting? If only Winston would take the dimensions, aesthetics, and the famous brand name of Bauer SST to create a click-check fly reel....now that, would create quite the buzz in the fly fishing industry!!!
