Home From Vacay

Sylvia and I had some fun days on vacation, and just returned home refreshed and ready for the regular life we enjoy. However, Callie cat is not too happy with us. It took a while for her to engage with us upon our return. Seems, after the four years we've had her, she more and more doesn't like us to leave her when we go on trips, regardless of how many days. We always hire a cat sitter to visit her every day we are gone, and to change litter and refresh food and water...but, Callie girl still gets perturbed when we go away. Yeah, this cat is spoiled and treated like a princess, and knows it. She'll be fine.

We rented a condo on the beach and had the kids and grandkids down to stay with us for doing a whole bunch of nothings, like walking the beach, kids playing in the sand, and getting salty wet. The six year old loved it, and the one year old enjoyed it too. Packing up and saying goodbyes are never easy with family, but I have to admit, it's nice to be home.

In a couple of days we will have more family time with my brother and nephew as house guests. Yeah, these two weeks in October are special with being able to spend time with our kids and grandkids at the beach, followed by a visit from our brother and nephew, and yeah, that will include a few days of fly fishing adventure in New Mexico. Life is good...especially with family.
