Subtle Power
For years I've tried to describe why I'm impressed with how Winston rods handle a trout on a tight line. The flex and sensitive bend of these rods when fighting a fish are part of it. But it has power too. It almost seems like there is an unnatural dichotomy of science happening in a battle with a fighting fish. I'm talking about the ultra-light line rods here, to be clear. How can a rod be powerful and sensitive at the same time? I don't know, but I sure do like fishing them.
