The Hardy LRH fly reel is a time proven reel that has been locked into light trout rods for over 80 years. This LRH reel is part of the Hardy Lightweight Reel Series and is designed for 4/5 line weights. A great looking reel with a full frame and solid back that is a collectable classic in vintage form or as a contemporary reel. Yup, they are still making these stream proven reels and that's a good thing. My LRH is a 150th Anniversary edition featuring the two screw line guide, brass hardware, and a grey anodized finish that is classy as can be.

I decided to load my Hardy LRH reel with a Rio LightLine WF4F fly line for a very nice mate with my Winston TMF fly rod. This reel also gets locked into a Winston IM6 8' 4wt rod as well. It's difficult to find another reel that works as perfectly as the LRH on my classic Winstons, mostly because of ideal dimensions and light weight (no pun intended).
