Longmire Book Series

I just finished the fifth book of the Longmire book series. The first five books have been an exciting read, taking me away into the world of Sheriff Walt Longmire.

Johnson's third book, Kindness Goes Unpunished, has a bit of a twist to it with Walt leaving his Wyoming home to visit his daughter, a lawyer in Philadelphia. Walt is joining his life long friend Henry Standing Bear who is traveling to Philly for a museum exhibit, featuring Bear's photography collection. Upon their arrival to Philly, Walt was shocked to learn his daughter had suffered a vicious attack and is in a coma. It's in the hospital with his daughter that Walt meets his deputy's family, who live in Philly and are a family of police officers.

With Henry, his deputy Vic Moretti, and the entire Moretti clan of police officers, Sheriff Longmire shows the locals just how to investigate a crime, along with the western justice he has been using during his decades of experience as a Wyoming Sheriff. Yup, a darn good read!
