Designed For Leetle Fellers

I can honestly say, I don't have any desire for adding another glass rod to the quiver...because of this Winston Retro Glass 6'6" 3wt fly rod. I always look forward to working my way up into a tunnel of a canopied trout stream with this rod. It's in those places where trout are not as likely to be disturbed by other fishermen. And, you know what that means, there are trout in there that will be eager to attack a fake morsel of fur.

My glass rod is factory built with a custom grip and sliding band reel seat. The cork down-locking reel seat is very desirable with Winston fans because they seem to be more rare. More rare than the standard cocobolo reel seat used in this rod series during the short two year production run. Add to that, there just aren't as many 6'6" 3wt Retro Glass models that were manufactured in this rod series (my speculation). Why the production run was only two years, I don't know. However, to say I'm happy to own and fish this rod is to put it too mildly.

This glass rod is built perfectly for catching those Leetle Fellers in tight, canopied, mountain Rios....
