On The Rios

I use to be all about big rivers and big trout...until my wife gifted me a 3wt fly rod. Thank you Darling! She changed my preference for fly fishing on large rivers to fishing small freestone streams with only a single dry fly. I mean, once I started climbing into the canyons and fishing for wild trout in those beautiful small Rios, I was a changed man.

Like many anglers, I have a few favorite Rios I fish on a regular basis each year. Now, let me remind new readers on the blog...I DON'T HOT SPOT trout streams. So, please don't ask. Fortunately, there are no big trout in my Rios, so there aren't many people who even want to know where the streams are located, anyway. From my view, I do appreciate the Leetle Fellers and enjoy the mountain areas as much as the resident wild trout. What the trout don't enjoy is being caught by my fake morsel of food. How do I know? Well, they sure put up a fight to keep out of my landing net.
