Favorite Book - 2023

There was some tough competition, but Home Waters by John Maclean turned out to be my favorite read in 2023...his family insights and research on Montana history and the trout streams that he and his father loved to fish was fascinating to me. Reading this book is a must to fully appreciate his father's book, A River Runs Through It.

You know, it would be fun to retrace some of his fishing adventures in Montana. Maybe someday I can get on a couple of those rivers. It would be a fabulous trip and while I was exploring the state, I could drop by the Winston headquarters for a tour of their manufacturing...well, if I caught them in a good mood to say,  "sure, come on in."
