Top Fly - 2023

For me, the top fly for 2023 was the same one as last year....the black Elk Hair Caddis. This fly just seems to be the favorite morsel of those Leetle Fellers in my home waters...they will rise up and take this dry fly most days I'm fishing. And, it doesn't really matter which stream on the mountain I'm fishing, this fly works. Yeah, I tie on a lot of different dry fly patterns through the course of the year, but this fly is on the end of the line more than any of them.
