Pottery - May

Posting an art piece since it has been a few months since my last art posting. This is clay pot that was made by my late friend, Jon Dickey. Jon worked for me as an illustrator back in the early 70's when I was managing an art department. He was a very talented artist and best known for his intricate etchings. We would trade artwork from time to time and this is one of them.

This is the only pottery piece that I have from Jon and I still exhibit it in my home to this day. This pot has moved with me through each of my job transfers around the country and has a couple of little scars as a result. I must say, all his pieces of art bring back good memories of Jon when we worked together back in our youth...and, I'll always treasure them.

My sister and her husband are joining us this week to celebrate a couple of birthdays and wander through a bunch of art galleries...yeah, it's going to be all about art, good food, drink, and family this week.
