Drawing To A Perfect Pair - Winston BIIt 3wt and 4wt

There are many streams and lakes along the border of New Mexico and Colorado...and, these two rods would be pretty much perfect for them all, with the exception of the tightest creeks. Packing these two rods into a carrier and hitting the road to fish in this area of the southwest is pure bliss. Most of the streams are in the 7k to 9k altitudes of some of the most beautiful landscapes I fish. And, when I'm camping stream side with trout swimming next to the camp, well,  it's just too wonderful.

The Winston BIIt 7'6" 3wt - is as good as it gets for a 3wt rod. The rod works a free stone stream effortlessly and is superb when handling trout from 6" to 18" from the hook set all the way into the net. Tie a dry fly on the end of the line and cast to a little pocket of water anywhere from 10 feet to 50 feet upstream...it can do it. And, do it exceptionally well.

The Winston BIIt 8'6" 4wt - yep, you're right. It's the 'Staff of Moses" and the rod I take to those medium and large rivers. It has a delicate tip for helping the angler keep the trout hooked and the power for the larger river currents. The rod is best when dry fly fishing, but certainly can handle a light dry/dropper rig when needed. This rod is one of those legendary fly rods that anglers have sought out for their collection ever since Winston ended the rod series.
