I just finished reading another fly fishing book - The Optimist by David Coggins. I was needing a new book and this one was recommended by an angler I came across on the internet one day. It is a good book. However, there were chapters that took a conscious effort for me to get through. They happened to be about the author's adventures with non-trout related fishing. Well, I'm a trout fisher. So there you go...

If you don't have a book currently on the book shelf and need an escape to far away fishing adventures, this book can fill the void. Will it be a favorite read of mine? Not really...
