The "Honey Hole"
Through the years I have come to count on some honey holes in my regular stream rotation. These pockets of goodness almost always give me a trout to the net. They have proven to be pretty dependable for holding trout and they are always on my mind when I'm gearing up at the truck for some fly fishing.
As I'm working the stream toward one of those "honey holes," I start visualizing the fly landing in a certain spot and the splash of a trout taking a dry fly. Yes, I'm a believer in the "laws of attraction" and find visualizing the strike, and the subsequent feel of a fish on the line, do contribute to an actual hit on the dry fly.
