Plein Air Painting - September

Another Alan Heuer oil painting is this month's featured artwork. I purchased this piece because it reminded me of a place I enjoy visiting for fly fishing. Since he was living in Taos at the time he created this piece, it could have been painted at the very place I like to fish...very possible.

Even though this is an oil painting, I chose to frame it under glass to display in the house. Art is suppose to arouse emotions within the viewer and I find this piece often motivates me to pack my fishing duffle and get on the road to a trout stream. Well, to be honest, it doesn't take much to get me motivated to fish:)
