Making The Cut - September

This month's featured knife is a Case Harvest Bone Seahorse Whittler,  4" closed, featuring beautiful bone handles and nickel silver bolsters. I purchased this knife in Taos about 17 years ago. Those bone handles are much more impressive in person...as soon as I saw this knife, I picked it up and handed it to the sales clerk.

The master Wharncliff blade is stamped on the front tang with Case XX with 5 X's and 3 Dots, dating this as a 2002 issue Case knife, while the rear tang of the blade is pattern stamped with USA 6355 SS. The opposite blades are the Coping and small Spear blades. (Code O)
