Morning Trout

My wife told me this morning to go fishing...I always do what she says. It was a nice morning in the mountain creeks and the little wild browns were there ready to take a dry fly. I managed a few trout to the net before kicking back with a picnic lunch. I fished for about another hour after lunch and then called it quits after people started rolling into the area. Productive morning and got that "itch" for some tight line fun out of my system.

I'm hoping we have some dry weather in the next couple of weeks...I still have to get a Rio Grande Cut and Brookie to accomplish that NM slam of all our state trout species. I can't believe I haven't netted an RGC yet...I always have that fish checked off the list by now.

Gear: Winston WT 7' 4wt fly rod; Hardy Perfect fly reel; Rio Lightline WF4F fly line.
