Skunked

Dang this is a tough river to catch trout. It would be easier if I rigged up a nymph rig for this river, but I’m determined to bring a trout to the net with a dry fly here. I had a brown rise to my offer today but I got excited and tried to set the hook too soon. After all these years and I’m still making rookie mistakes.

In spite of not netting a trout, I had a fabulous time in the outdoors…cold water, clean air, and beautiful landscapes!
