New Fly Fisher

Well, we have a new fly fisherman in the family. Our 8 year old grandson learned how to fly fish this week and in two days netted over ten rainbow trout. He was so excited.

We found a nice campground site and after setting up camp, went to the trout pond for young kids and had a wonderful time. After the second day, he was casting his new 3wt fly rod like a champ. We still need to work on the hook set and bringing the fish to the net, but he's doing great. I'm looking forward to another fishing trip with him.

The tent Sylvia bought for me got its first field test on this trip and it worked perfectly. So, it's a go with this tent for the brother trip next week. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the wi-fi speaker built into the canopy is actually kind of nice.
