Winston Catalog - 2007

It was a bittersweet year for me in 2007. This year was my last in the cable industry and I was a bit sad because it was the most satisfying years of my worklife. I was part of a national team that developed and delivered employee training for the new (at that time) digital services in video (TV), internet, and telephony. Dang, did we ever have fun meeting those product launch goals with the new cable technologies!!! The nice part of that year was my employment change to the largest healthcare provider in New Mexico...my last career years before retirement. Why was it a good job change? Because I didn't have to go through another job transfer and could stay in NM and fly fish the wonderful trout streams here. 

Well, on to the catalog. The Winston catalog featured this month is for the year 2007. The reason I like the 2007 catalog so much? Because the Boron IIt series was launched that year and is my favorite of all the Winston rod series through their impressive history.

This little catalog is only 8.5" x 4.5" and is a classy design and layout. It was this year that Winston rod designer, Sam Drukman said the BIIx and BIIt rods were his finest designs. Sam passed away too early in life from acute leukemia a few years ago. He was a good guy and I'm fortunate to be able to fish with his rods...they are not only beautiful, but performance perfect for my trout streams!
