A Nice Place To Be...

Go ahead...pick a pocket of water, float a dry fly, and chances are good there is a trout treading water in there to hit your fly as it lands. This is one of the streams my buddies and me wade into on a regular basis and one of the streams where a short rod in a 3 or 2 weight line works very nicely.

Brian, Neal, and I have a regular routine when we get to a stream. We gear up and then discuss where each of us are going to start fishing along the stream. Brian pulls out his watch and asks, "what time do we meet back here for lunch?" Once lunch time is decided, we scatter along the stream rarely seeing the other until time to head back to the vehicle and set up for a leisurely lunch...and, the usual discussion on how each of our fishing experiences went that morning. And then we repeat the above for the afternoon of fishing. It's always a great day when we are fishing on home waters and I can't think of anything that's more peaceful, relaxing, and fun...
