Drypoint Etching - April
This month's featured artwork is a drypoint etching by Jon Dickey, a friend and colleague of mine back when we were young men out of college and working as illustrators. Jon had an amazing eye for detail that made him both a talented illustrator and fine artist as well. We traded for fine art in those days of our youth and I have several of his pieces still yet today...this artwork is kept in our living room and always brings a smile to my face. God called Jon home to Heaven about three years ago and I'm sure he is in awe of the beauty.
Seems to me when looking back through the history of the human race, it's always their arts (any respective period) that people in current times appreciate most!
