Watercolor - February

This month’s artwork is by David Chavez. I purchased this piece about fifteen years ago at a charity auction event in Albuquerque. When I moved to New Mexico, I made a promise to myself to buy at least one artwork each year as my way of supporting the local arts. This work is entitled "Saturday Afternoon Wash" and is an 8 x 10 watercolor.

This piece caught my eye because it reminded me of a little rural town I drive through on my way to a fabulous rio for fly fishing. When I walk by this painting in the house, I think of that little rio and tight lines with native trout.
