Sage Little One

Yeah, I'm dreaming of spring weather, walking through a meadow toward a meandering stream in anticipation of rising trout. I'm counting the days when winter turns to spring...which often brings some stiff breezes in New Mexico.

When the warm breezes kick up,  I want a fast action rod. And, my favorite rod for when I'm expecting some wind is my Sage Little ONE 8'2" 4wt rod. It's light, fast, and has a sensitive action to play those little wild trout in my home waters. I pull this rod out of the tube only on meadow streams because at 8'2" it's a bit too long for some of my streams that are choked in tight with a canopy of trees.

This rod was nicknamed the "LITTLE" ONE by SAGE's internal team and it is indeed ultra-light fly fishing. Konnetic Technology® allows for a smaller rod diameter and slimmer profile without sacrificing high line speed and accurate casting to little pockets of water.

The light blank is coupled with an ultra-light custom reel seat and compact cork handle for an ultra-light feel and ultra-light action from tip to butt. For small rivers and streams where the quarry is light trout, the LITTLE ONE is a great rod.
