Just checking

I drove up to the home waters to check out the snow conditions and stream flows...nope, didn't take a fly rod with me. This was a scouting trip. It turned out to be a nice day on the mountain side with lower elevations looking pretty good, but higher up the snow is just too much for any fishing the next few weeks (my favorite stretches of water). Above the area where I took the attached photos, the streams were completely covered with snow. It looks like I'll be waiting a while before packing a fly rod.
